In this Myc-driven HCC model, six experimental groups
are compared to control liver.
Model description
Mice are bred to have a doxycycline-regulatable, hepatocyte-specific Myc gene
and are maintained on doxycycline to repress activation of the Myc transgene.
Mouse livers were selected for RNA-seq after 3 and 7 days of doxycycline
removal (groups D3 and D7). Tumors develop within 2-3 weeks (group T), and
immediately begin regressing following re-introduction of doxycycline (R3 and
R7), disappearing after 2-3 months. Doxycycline was removed again from these
mice, with tumor recurrence occuring within an average of 14 days (group RT).
